Awesome build mate.  Gorgeous colour.

I don’t actually mind the candy red on the wheels.

Thank you Simon , there will be plenty of photos to come as I’m more than likely half way though my battle with this car ,
There was so many posts today because I’ve backdated it all , think I need 3 more day jobs to fund this

Its looking really good, super clean, and you’ve inspired me to do my rear brakes with new drums and trimmings!

Glad to keep you motivated mate , I’ve lost all mine ,

Run into this issue now

For those of you that have fitted bbs rms on there mk1 golfs   , is there a Certain wheel nut that I need as it looks like it’s not  sitting in the wheel nut hole fully ( the red line )
Also the rear wheel nuts are catching my breaks

Also I got my rear brakes and cables in a kit  off eBay if you would like the link ?

Had a little bit of time on the golf yesterday ,

1. Got the oil catch can on and plumbed in with the bracket I made ,
2.we found it why the reverse lights didn’t work (reverse switch ordered)
3. Got the alternator bracket / tensioner on from gav
4 remount the radiator so the top hose isn’t chafing on the velocity stack
5 reboot  the sloppy oil cooler  with appropriate bolts and WASHERS
6 went about taking my bumper end caps off   as the was UPSIDE DOWN to be greeted with the fact they was help on with fibre glass and seem sealer !!!!!
7 managed to shorten the screen wash bottle bracket and polish the ally up
8 finished fixing water leaks ,

Managed to order some gauges too as well as new front callipers

Oil pressure / volts / water temp

Still lots to do

Great progress made once again, the car looks sweet in the sunlight with the roof down, it’s great you are putting right previous wrongs so you can really enjoy the car and some pics of the dials once plumbed in would be good to see.
