New to this golfing lark!!

Just bought a 91 clipper, so I thought I'd say hi!

There’s a pipe from the vacuum advance off the distributor.

It goes to the other vac pipes at the yellow plastic joint.

Absolutely perfect!!! Thanks so much, that’s brilliant! I’ll set them right tomorrow. The idle screw seems to do absolutely nothing, which is weird!

Ok if not doing anything then it may be the O ring that shrouds it.
There’s usually one in the rebuild kit.

The kit I got was comprehensive apart from one gasket.
But I got some gasket paper from the car spares shop and drew round it.
However my old one was serviceable.

Deffo get a new rubber flange though.

Pointless rebuilding carb to find the rubber flange isn’t any good.
Guess how I found that out lol.

If you need the other gasket I can bung  this into the post for you.

Ah ha!! Yes, an o ring would make sense! There definitely isn’t one! Guess what I’ll be doing tomorrow

Hi chortle, where did you get your carb service kit from?
Found my misfire problem (one of the main carb studs is threaded and the nut just spins so it’s dragging a load of air in, removing the washer enabled me to nip it down and cure the fault temporarily) but still want to service it properly.
Thanks

Got my kit off EBay my carb is the 32/34 DMTL which is also fitted to the Land Rover.
Seller was called fastroadcar on eBay £26.00 inc post.

One of the fixings is a stud you can pop 2 nuts on tighten up against each other to lock then tighten down.

I’d put a new rubber base mount on too.
Then you know you got years carb trouble free motoring ahead.

Excellent, I’ll find him and get both ordered, I’ll probably replace all the studs/nuts while I’m at it. I set the mixture and idle by ear yesterday and the timing with a strobe, the difference is night and day!
Also changed the plugs as it had 4 completely different ones in it (some people shouldn’t be allowed spanner’s!!!) and a full service, engine gasket set and clutch ordered ready for engine removal.

Nice Clipper, what wheels are going back on?  I wish I'd kept my 14" clipper steel's.

Nice.  You couldn't order a clipper with them could you?  Are RJs like the BBS on a late MK2 16v ?
