83 gti 16v

rod bearings look fine





I also took the crank out and as suspected it looks fine, anyone got any ideas where the random bearing material was from as I haven't a clue.

not been doing that much on the golf recently but did have time to make up some boot panels

I did swap the pedal box for a cabby one so now has a pedal mounted brake light switch, will be using the cabby engine bay lighting loom to keep it tidy, luckily it has the outside temp sensor wiring so no need to change anything

the wood is chestnut
