I wish I had the funds, space, skills and bag of miracles to buy that and get it back on the road. Exactly the same as my first car apart from the colour!
It needs some serious work though and it's not a swallow tail!

Has it been stored in a swamp? Thats seriously gone, I wouldn't give the current bid for it.

Why do people insist on listing things incorrectly, blatantly knows this isn't a swallow, but tries to lure people in.

Lol, I was looking at it and wondering how you would get it on the trailer, I think sweeping it up would be the best option!

You wouldn't want to push or pull it too hard, you don't know where it will snap!

Just coz it's found in a barn doesn't automatically make it good !
Something's should just be left in the barn.
I too was surprised to see how much rust is going for these days.

Lots of things make it a swallowtail, but the rear panel is what gives it that nickname.

I would consider that car if I had the room, time and space for it but only because I want an identical model and that one looks complete (with the exception of half the metal)! It wouldn't be for the faint hearted though and it would have to be for the right price and after some serious prodding about underneath!
It will be interesting to see what it goes for, a similar 1977 S reg rolling she'll sold for about £1600 last week although the shell was much better than this one!

HI for it to be a swallowtail it would have to be a 174 or 175 and some early 176 chassis numbers.
from the outside of the car the rear panel what dips down in the middle by the number plate, front bonnet has not got the swage line in, front wings have not got a bottom swage line, the boot has got vents under the glass, some early basic models have got a boot prop in instead of gas rams, rear lights are smaller like series 1s, metal door handles, smaller catches on the doors, door hinges are fully adjustable, rain trays are smaller air intakes are different fresh air vent have got 90 degree bends on them, the fuel tank sender is on the side of the petrol tank, clocks are like series ones but got little nipples on, heater controls are different, gear shift pattern is printed on the ashtray instead of gear knob, door cards pattern are a one off, bumpers have got tow hitches attached to them, there's more stuff that I have missed but that's from off the top of my head

My daddy said always stay away from a woman that applies makeup with a spatula.

Sad, Sad, Sad…..

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

In my Dad's time the women weren't so sophisticated and he'd say if they use a brick layers pointing trowel.

Yall get some obscene prices for things…. This would be a 200 or less car over here.

I have had some Balk at 2500 for my green cabby…
it has about 213K top all 3 layers/shocks/struts/tires less than 3 years old, Automatic…. needs fender and lower valance replaced.

So I suspect that I could get 5000 for it over where ya'll live.

Bits of gaffer tape over the sharp rusty bits and weld up the holes. Don't wash or clean it and that's how I would leave it.
I do fancy a rat look car but that golfs to far gone for me and at £600 with 13 hrs left to much money.

Yeah… I mean there's " the rat look " but that looks like a dead rat that's been chewed by a dog and then run over several times lol
