As much as I loved this car and was getting ready to enjoy it this summer….someone offered to buy it so I let it go..

I've now got an empty garage, but I'm hoping to fill it soon with a suitable replacement!!!

That's a really nice colour and car, it's shame you let it go… but the first month or two is the you need to properly know if you really want to get stuck into it or look for something else… nice to see it though  😃

2003 Ibiza 130 tdi hybrided to 240bhp

I had no intentions of selling it.

The mk2 came up for sale so
I bought it. Sold the mk1 cab and thought I'd use it as a stop gap for a couple of years to allow me to save for a mk1 gti.

Then I got a good offer from someone for the mk2 and a mk1 gti came up at the same time…

So I had to sell up.

I probably will regret it, as early mk2s are scarce now but I've got first refusal
To buy it back from the new owner should he change his mind..

Hi!

I purchased this at the weekend from Faz, pleasure doing business with you!

I don't have any major plans at present, just gave it a wash, changed the wheels and tickled the ride height. Future plans are just to sort some of the niggles and enjoy it this coming show season.

Hello Ross

She looks great with some proper wheels  on it. I genuinely miss it already. I wish I got to do a few shows in it. The alloys have transformed it.

You fitted the rear number plate yet?, that will be the icing on the cake???

So I pulled it off the road, it's no longer a 1.6 auto.

Just need to have it wired up and hopefully it'll prove to be a nice little daily driver.

Proper grandad car, I've even added some mud flaps.

I want to retain the 13" steels to keep it grandad spec…. struggling with a good Brake setup to choose that'll fit under 13's tho….. it's the last thing on my list. Not that I'll be racing it around tho so they'll be good enough for now…… hopefully.     IMG_1907.JPG

If you're sticking with VAG brakes, I think 239mm (9.4") is it if you're determined to sit on 13s. I upgraded my Mk2 to 256mm (10.1") from a late Mk2 16V Jetta and had to change up to 14s to clear…

Post

Yeah man, I'll see how frighteningly bad they are with 190 odd bhp…. I may have to go 256 with some 14's or get some beefed up expensive wilwood calipers.

Tried on my 16's, I think it'll look sweet with the right spacers etc.
