I'm just on the way down to the unit now mate so I'll have a look

I have one, but I need to make sure I have a matching set before I sell it - I'm gonna spend a load of time down there this weekend so I'll move everything to get behind mine and check the lights match - will let you know volkswarren

Finally got the donor stripped down and started cutting it to bits. Didn't wanna do it on axal stands so we lifted it up and dropped it on some tyres - gotta have a bit of fun haven't you!


Plan today is to drill all the spot welds out the back for the boot floor and the rear panels, reckon it might take me a while!

Can't wait to get it out the unit and start doing the same to mine!! (Minus the chopping)

Having a little break at the unit - kinda getting the hang of this spot welding drilling malarkey… I think…

Absolute pain in the bum to remove! It's been welded to the floor and it won't let go! Had fun doing it though

Them spot welds have been drilled perfectly! Far better than I managed, nice work mate

Era, I think the guy in the grey tracksuit trousers has a problem though!

I decided to start on panels I don't care about to get a feel for it, so I don't mess up the ones I need!

Little update.. had a week off (did some glamping in Wales) so only got to the unit properly tonight, couldn't really be bothered so I just tidied up and split the gearbox from the old engine, got myself a nice work bench and a vice at the weekend so put all my crap in that - feel a bit better now it's a little tidier, hate working around mess!

Its a generation thing, makes us oldies want to shout "Pull your trousers up and get a belt!"

Or perhaps its the big pointy bit out the back!  

Ah yeah, I was looking at a later picture haha - it looks like he's swallowed a garden hoe and he's "passing" it haha
