RichardHall  I'll know if the MK2 is an ex pres car as it should have a Northampton plate on it like my mk1 press car. I remember during the conversation he reeled off a load of differences with it. However its probably one \i could do without in my life right now!! I might tap my mate James up who I restored his Rallye for. He might fund the project if we can get it!!

Just been and picked these "Pepperpots" up.

Made by Centra. The guy owned them wasn't there to ask but I'm questioning whether they were ever dealer option on a mk1 Golf as they are 15".
Some quick googling finds images of the same wheel but none at 15". Only 13" so far. They're rough but repairable.
