I guess you live up north?
Snow/winter tyres may help?

Glasgow based so further north than most.

Traction was fine with the all weather tyres that are on the car as it was really just wet slush.

Loving this thread, such a great find those door pods are worth more than what you paid for the car!! :lol: Wish my clipper had the power assisted stuff :o they can handle the winter and rain contrary to popular belief!  image.jpeg image.jpeg

Well, staggeringly yesterday was exactly a year to the day that I brought the Golf home.

So to celebrate I dropped the roof (its no more than 7°C outside and heavy rain/snow is forcast) and went for a blast around the farm roads of Eaglesham.

The big downside being I came home with last nights cow feed spattered up my doors;

I am going to start this post with an example of my stupidity.

Sunday morning I rushed out and bought my Mum some flowers for mothers day.

On the way home I stopped for petrol and as the sun was splitting the sky I decided to put the roof down…….Pity I had forgotten about the flowers on the back parcel shelf!

Heres what I saw when I turned round to reverse into my space O_o

What a tit!

At least the outside still looks good, even in the scarier parts of Glasgow.
