Wheels back from powder coaters and look ace, they will go on at the end of April once the suspension is fitted.

When I picked the car after the stonechip wet sanding, the paint on the car was so thin from factory that the detailer couldn't sand the paint blob down enough and also burnt through on a few bits, so it's booked into the bodyshop in April for a respray on the roof, door, wing and both A pillars at the detailers cost.

When it's in I'm paying for the bonnet to get paintef to get rid of the stonechips.

So lots of work done.

Roof, A pillars, front wings, drivers door, bottom of rear nearside passenger door all resprayed to remove stone chips and a couple of tiny rust bubbles.

Moted and full service incl brake fluid and fuel filter, Bilstein struts with -25mm Eibach springs and new track rod ends, tie rods, all top mounts, ball joints, upgraded headlight bulbs and Brembo brakes all round.

Heko wind deflectors fitted and leather cleaned and moisturised.

Then newly refurbed Octavia VRS Spiders on with new black bolts and grey bolt covers and new style centre caps.

Thanks Boss 😉

Not my usual thing either but enjoying playing with it and not having a monthly loan to pay.

It's perfect for my 30 mile round trip to work on a bit of twisties and a bit of Motorway.

How long I will last I don't know as I fancy the Golf R or Octavia VRS estate 😁

Thanks Shughy it's now pretty much as good as new apart from a few marks on the bumpers.

60mpg as well which is a bit easier on the pocket than the M3's 20 mpg 😜

VRS is sold to a prominent member of this club to make way for my GTD.

Its a shame in a way as its a peach of a car in amazing condition now and looking sweet with the subtle mods.

It's a great car Hairyarse and if I could have kept it as well I would have as I've replaced pretty much everything and it's looking amazing for its age.

It's going to a good home though and hopefully it will be kept the same.
