So away to pick up my new 17" mk1 Octavia VRS Spider alloys and then they will be away for refurb, then wrapped in Toyo Proxe T1Rs in 205 40 17 with black new style badges.

Got s price for a Longlife stainless system today so that's on the cards.

It's booked in for timing belt and pump change in 2 weeks and then once the new wheels are on gotta decide whether it needs lowered.

Already sourced Eibach lowering springs, new front and rear top mounts, track rod ends and bottom ball joints in case 😉

Already fitted new Meyle drop links and Brembo front discs and pads.

Going to black wrap the chrome grill as well.

Once the wheels are on it will look like this -

After years of car loans I'm loving it not having one, well I won't when the M3 leaves in a few weeks.

It's s great wee car and what enjoying is being able to play with it especially as the Sportline is away, so I need something to do things to 👍

Just waiting on a date for a full 3 day paint correction.

I had a skoda once.

My lasting memory of it was the heater knobs falling off as it accelerated! I could have lived with the phenomenon but it was only powered by a 1200 engine!

As long as that was the only knob to fall off 😳

Picked the wheels up yesterday and no kerbing on them at all just the usual corrosion. Ordered the TOYO Proxes as well.

Fri 27th Feb the timing belt and pump gets done
Fri 6th drop of where and tyres at powdercoaters
Mon 9th drop of car at Detailers for 3 day paint correction
Fri 13th pick up wheels from powdercoaters

Fit wheels and then decide on whether to lower it by -25mm ??

So new rear Brembos bought to match the fronts.

Decided to lower it -25mm to sit better on the 17's, so I've done the drop links so ordered new front and rear top mounts, bump stops, tie rods and track rod ends, balljoints, Bilstein B4 dampers and Eibach lowering springs.

Then it should sit and look like the car in the pics earlier in my thread.

I loved them on the Sportline matched with the Eibach lowering springs so I hope I am equally impressed 😄

Wheels were dropped off last Friday and decided to get them anthracite grey.

VRS is with the detailers just now for 3 days getting a paint correction and stonechips wet sanded out.

Here's before, during and after pics of the chips.

Chips filled with a blob of paint, then wet sanded and finally corrected.
