My engine mounts and nice shiny lower strut brace arrived yesterday.

A quick trip to GSF tomorrow morning for a tensioner, cambelt and water pump and I will hopefully be able to get the engine in!

OK so the actual "build" is starting!

The poly bushes are in the steering rack!

I am waiting for a steering gaiter to arrive! (will heat  wrap it then as close to the 20v downpipe.

Have placed my order with Q Peng for the down pipe - I am sure my credit card groaned as I paid.

There is an engine in the bay! - how exciting is that!

Now for the manic 7 day sprint to try and get it running!

I have also given my brakes a bit of a spruce up!

Right then after failing to get my MK1 to the Annual Gathering last year I am going to set myself a deadline to motivate myself to make it in 2015!

I will have my golf MOT'd Tax'd and on the road for June 1st 2015 - so expect a lot more photos from me over the coming weeks!

Winter is here so time to really put the hours in on the 20v and "finish it" ready for the spring!

I've changed plans slightly and now have 280mm brakes for it.

Plan is going to be to get it running and driving, the get it home and get it finished!
