The question is - can I just use 2 new standard black bumpers from Funk on it or am I best trying to source a second hand chrome trimmed one, as I know you cant get them new ?
I am unsure of this but I think the original bumper is actually grey and not black.

Me personally I would try and get what you have got originally as I'm sure the black ones from funkstar would look good but it would niggle me that it was not original to how the car should look.
But as for getting good original one that's a different question

A 1983 grey GX with 1 owner ( technically 2 as the son had to transfer it to his name when his parents went into care, same as my Mum ) and 44k miles.
All bills, FSH, bill of sale, pdi receipt, all mots, service receipts, original handbooks and GX original colour brochure.
No rust and completely original.
New starter, tyres, coil, battery and alternator.
Mint interior with original big button stereo.
Even getting the original roof rack.
Seller paying for transporting it to Scotland.
New bumpers reqd and a few wee things.
Rubbish pics taken from ebay !!
