Yeah, caravan for rent! Thought about turning it into a party bar too!
This is the site for the garage, I've already bought a double garage door, so just need the funds for building now  WP_002240.jpg

Getting on with some works to make a path down to the cottage and have used dug out soil from the path and some from inside the cottage to make some raised beds in the garden. WP_002238.jpg WP_002246.jpg

Feels like some good progress this week:ocf_emoticons__cheer:, large part of the major structural work on the oldest part of the cottage complete. We've found the oldest record on the deeds is 1836, but the cottage is older, we think it might even have been some sort of barn or forge. Going to see if we can find out more from the local studies library.
The window opening have now been rebuilt upstairs, gable wall rendered, old rafters taken out, new wallplate fitted, woodworm treatment, chimney repaired, lined and new fireplace built!! Few, now having a weeks 'holiday' to do more work to roof timbers and insulating:cool: WP_002254.jpg WP_002273.jpg WP_002274.jpg WP_002276.jpg

Well done guys. You should be chuffed. It just takes more than money to take on this sort of project. It takes guts.

We couldn't do it! Proud of you!

we have just been through your project and it brought back so many memory's of our first home back in 1966
sadly we did not take any pics ! we have moved a number of times and always bought work and would do it again , but do not need to now , but miss the feeling and the challenge, you are making memories that you will never forget. good luck and best wishes
