well managed to get it into my mates work shop to use his pit, went to bolt up the driveshafts but the passenger side was to short so had to swap that over. Also i manged to sort out some of the engine bits, and come across a bodge of the previous owner who done the 1.8 gti conversion instead of putting the 5 speed gear shifter under the tunnel they bolted it on top and cut a massive hole in the fire wall for the shaft to go through, they also have welded some of the linkage parts to the steering rack, oh the joys of having a old car that been bodged :)

before and after
excuse the instgram pictures (jake1404)

well had a sit in her all i can say if i cant wait till im rolling to shows in her

someone local to me was selling a chrome strip bumper cheap so picked that up today even thought the bumper and iron was no good i only wanted it for the trim, also managed to nab a pair of scraper seals of him, so got round to removing the trim and fitting it to by bumper and fitted my rear coilovers back on

managed to get the trims fitted but not 100% still with how the bumper sits so might have to order new irons

many thanks
jake
