It could be a Ex Van like mine....i guess as 3 door diesels were not offered i guess....

when i go on my car check it comes up, Golf C, 3 door hatchback, heavy oil.... does yours say car derived van then?

No Mine is the same… But i know from the previous owner it was a van….

Mine is a A reg too….

Apparently people did that as it was cheaper to buy a van and convert it to a car rahter than buying a car…

ahh thats wierd. so normal golfs didnt come with a diesel engine? how did you find that out. i have searched for info on mk1 diesels on the internet but not much luck

started stripping the underseal/sound proofing on the floor. its been patched up by the sill but its in pretty good shape

so i bought this, not sure how it will look with the red on red… we will see



Also got all the unwanted brackets off. Next I just need to get the battery tray out. Couldn't quite get it with the spot weld drill

R32 has gone now  :(



meanwhile i removed the apron. The bay is nearly ready for paint. just need to get a few holes welded up first.
