Thanks smudger.

Whats the best way to remove rea quarter glass, front and rear screens??

Post

Rear quarters I got out easy on mine, just peeled the rubber over the body. I haven't done front or rears yet - I plan to replace both seals so will just cut the outside of the seals with a knife and lift out

Oh fair chance of that I guess? Are you planning on keeping the seal? If not perhaps start cutting it from the top and see how it's attached.

…and if you need any more tips on me stating the obvious, then let me know!

Hopefully someone on here will have done the same before and can pipe up with something useful ;)

Cheers
Andy

anyone got some more info on removing this sunroof section please?

Post

Not quite sure but the sunroof looks a bit like mine, which was sort of sandwiched together with a surround section, so is was bolted from the inside.

Do you have any pics from the inside?

Why are you wanting to take it out, if not a daft question?

I guess something like that!

Only asking as wasn't sure if you were looking to re-fit it or do away with it all together.

You could cut a big hole in your roof and fit a nice webasto roof conversion  ;)

Nige did a great job at this and I sat in his Golf one year at the AGM when it was peeing down with rain and it was water tight.

Food for thought :)
