I've got a 1.4 16v AFH to drop in.
Hopefully, should be done for the spring :D

Quick update as to where I'm at with the polo.
Welding done in the bay….

All holes welded up, and ready for filler. Got hold of a rottisierie to do the underside

Slight surface rust

Ready for primer

After a couple of coats of etch primer.

Stonechip next, then yellow:thumbs:Once the underside is complete, I will start filling and smoothing the bay.

Thanks for the comments guys!
Applied 3 to 4 coats of stonechip to the underside, I will need to put the jig on the passenger side and apply another couple.

And made a start on the filler in the engine bay.

Wow. I want one! Under 900cc? How did it go?
Underside looks sweet! I envy people who have the patience (and money) for jobs like that!

895cc, and yes it did go well, surprisingly nippy
Why the envy? I have no patience, and all its cost me is the primer, stonechip and paint, around £70!!!

Thats pretty cheap! I just plain hate prepwork, and have no garage.

Love it. May try and find myself one at some stage, but they are pretty rare now!
