They're vents to circulate air through the cabin.  8)

Mechanical parts aren't too bad on these, a lot is transferable from Mk2/3 Polo's. It's the body parts that are getting thin on the ground, front /rear panels and wings especially. Hadrian made a lot of panels but over the last few years they've stopped making wings and front panels.

Lovely motor Andy, we've got one in Lemon yellow but it's been in bits for the last few years.

Cheers!!

Grill was painted with three coats of Halfords satin black bumper paint, then pin stripped in silver, which was a real pain to mask up, very pleased with the way it came out.

Very nice little polo there mate!

They're not my thing really but I really appreciate a tidy one like this! The work you have done so far is top notch, fair play.

Thanks for the comments guys.

I did this to the rear end in the summer…

So now its off the road for the winter, i thought id do the same to the front end, in preparation for a new engine.

This is what she looks like now!

Engine bay is covered in Ziebart, so it's 895cc out, engine bay clean and tidy up.

I'm hoping to get hold of a rotisserie in the next week or so, so i can then strip, prime , stonechip, basecoat, and laquer the underside.
