started preping the bay for a bit more welding  and smoothing as the clutch, accelerator, brake holes will no longer be needed



and picked up some new fuel lines today

Excellent work there fella 8) ,like the front mount you made top job.

Couple of questions regarding oem management  
 is that a agu  ecu and loom?
do you need to run the clocks or has that been programmed out with the immobiliser defeat?
 Who  did you use to remap and defeat the immobilser?

will it make any shows this year ?

cheers mate, its aum engine and management out of a 2002 golf gti, yeah everything is removed thats not needed and if you need it done contact crazyquiff and they can sort you out  :wink:

made good progress on the pedal box today

all jigged up at cq yesterday then seam welded today   







i also have to make a way of fixing the pedal box to the bulkhead now as the holes will be welded up, so i started making a bracket to weld in place



also had a little delivery from the paint suppliers today i cant wait for my Christmas break now

i should have this done by the end of the week with any luck   :dontknow:

balance bar welded on to the brake pedal



i welded the accelerator mount on and gave it all the 1st test fit together and it all seems to fit nicely i just need a trial fit in the car to check clearances etc

also i needed to fit a brake switch for the ecu and there is also a wire for the clutch (its prob not needed ill connect it anyway) so i welded a extra little plate on and mounted a pair of micro switches to the backs of the pedals to keep them out the way

the pedal box is almost done at last lol

all that's left to do is mount the fluid bottles







the interior is 80% out and its looking less like a complete car by the day

the wings off too for the hidden loom



bit of bay welding next week i think  8)

Jim's pedal box is based on the crazyquiff one - I'm running a pedal box on my GX at the mo, with hydraulic clutch (ABF with 02A box).  We also have a remote servo on the front brakes only for testing.  Have adjusted the bias accordingly.

We're bulding a pedal box for the 20Vt we're doing at the mo with the flybywire accel pedal too…

stripped the gear shifter down today for a bit of a refurb



then a bit of chopping to the tower to get it to fit into the mk1 hole i gave it a mock up into the test panel i have



looks a little industrial at the moment but it in its fit up stage
