Car preparations!!!??!!!

Right then!!!


If you've not guess it already theres a small event going on on the 23rd - 25th July at Uttoxeter Racecourse

What are you doing to get your car ready for the big event????

My List:

1. New wheels to paint

2. New tyres on painted wheels  :?
3. Fix knee bar
4. Fix glove box (not sure why as knowbody knows about it)  :shhh:
5. Fit new suspention when it arrives (if it arrives)
6. A damn good clean
7. Try and fit all the camping stuff in it :)

Now not sure weather it's all going to get done but i'll have a good go at it.

So whats everyone else doing????…….. :D

go to makro get cooking oil (for car)
finish trailer/cooker
trial tow of trailer  :wink:

i have a few bits to do to before i head over:

just painted new front number plate holder so has to go back on
small oil leak so fitting new rocker cover & gasket, sump gasket too
oil change and new ht leads

should be all set then…

really looking forward to the the drive over and the show too!

waiting still for my wheels which have been at the refurbers for a while now apparently they were supposed to be ready 2 weeks ago.
get tyres for them
and hopefully not take the battery terminal clips on and off everytime i go somewhere as ive still not got any dash clocks :(

I have an ever growing list but know I will only get a few jobs done now :(

Fit Bumpers
Fit arches
Sort out a few rust spots
Pull out dent on rear panel and spray
Full service
Flush radiator and replace thermostat and rad switch
Change cambelt
Re fit all heater components
Put wireing in for Radio/speakers
Sort out poor fitting carpet
Fit lower dash parts
Change steering wheel
Fit original horn
Fit Cowling around steering wheel
Sort out door cards and put door pods on
Fit rear door cards
Fit new Boot carpet
re fit rear wiper components
Fit rear shelf supports and speakers
Re fit all rear seat belts
Fit new speedo cable
Find a new drivers seat

Plus more I can't remember off the top of my head :(

well yesterday with a bit of effort i managed to tick 3 things off the list :)

ive fitted a new front light as the ruddy lens fell of of it randomly, ive got to:

-fix nearside front indicator connection,
-fit and test my custom windbreak for some serious roof down road trips!
-fit new dash surround
-attatch numberplate surround
-apply my pies de resistance to over up the key marks (all will be revealed)
-mini service, sparks, leads, oil, water, check tyre pressures etc, the usual.

oh and pack…all the stuff in my clipper, atleast it will look lowered lol!!!!!

oohhhh….
i think im gonna get about 3 of mine done…

prep the door shuts
prep the boot lid
prep the roof
primer all thats not in primer already
rub all down and clean up bad spots
primer again
spray two colours
rub all down
buy chrome strips
buy coilies
buy small bumpers
buy new wheels
get the 1.1 lump running right
change brake fluid
buy a new hid ballast for my lights

i think im probably not gonna get ANY of that done
but ill try for these

get a sleeping bag
get food supplies
get beer
get petrol
get there!!

:)

booze and boredom, the greatest mix :)

get carpet back in (been out for over a year)
clean seats (actually screw in the rear bench for the first time)
new aerial
get some mats (or may wait till the gathering)
get some decent tunes on my usb drive


Get a tardis conversion so I can fit in all the stuff needed for the weekend

oh yes an get a new exhust as it started blowing like a tank on friday  :banghead:
