Cheers

The throttle body is a standard KR item. I tapped the holes on the side to bolt a modified throttle cable holder in place.

Had my golf rolling roaded today  :)

Peter Baldwins in wimpole, cambridgeshire. Very professional and i'll definately be using him again in the future.

My fueling is now set correctly and so is my timing.

Also found out that my TB was'nt fully opening due to the mk2 cable i've used. I've now adjusted it so it just about works, i'll look into a better set up when i get 5 mins.

Timing is as advanced as what she'll start at, there was a few more ponies but she would'nt restart so we've gone for a happy medium. Might take its toll on the old mk1 gti starter but i have a recon mk2 16v jobbie in the garage so i have back up and if that fails, i going to fit a larger diesel unit.

Anyway, i was asked roughly what i thought the power would be and i said 150 soooo, when he said it was 164bhp(fly) i was well happy

After a short run down the road and back, i could definately notice the difference made.

Money well spent

Did'nt get a vid of the run as it was me driving it on the rollers as the fella's apprentice

Here's a pic though

Now that my laptops working again, here's a pic of my new bonnet and tailgate nicely wrapped up in my spare room awaiting me to fit them

Also a couple of pic's of my shot blasted turbo's which i cant wait to get built up.

Damn i gunna be busy before UD LOL

Collected my Oz turbo baskets today, freshly painted met black  8)

The centre's got marked by the bubble wrap whilst on the way home    but i'll give them a flat and polish anyway. Should'nt be a prob as i flat and polish cars for a living

Well while the wife(Gem) was polishing the bolts to my oz turbos's, I swapped over the tailgate and tidied a few bits up

Gem with the mop, she got fed up doing them by hand lol

Your car looks ace mate. I love the Jetex system. I wasnt sure which one to go for on mine when im ready, but that made my mind up. What does it sound like? Is it a nice deep note or raspy?  :D

I have a build thread of my caddy on vwcaddy.com, i'll get you a link if you like or just search for my username on there and the links in my sig

Its all stripped down now though and awaiting for me to start a full on resto. Smooth bay etc

I may start a new thread for it on here but did consider keeping it under wraps  :D

Cheers fella

The system is a little loud for daily driving IMO, has a drone to it when cruising but when your on backroads going through the gears, it sounds awesome. It has a deep note and on de-acceleration it splutters lovely  :D

I'am going to sound deaden the boot as i use the car daily

F**ked up on the widths. Half inch smaller than planned but nevermind.

Totally assumed that oz turbo standard lip was 0.5, not 1in. Not to bother as the BBS 1in dish looks much better so its not been a wasted task. They'll still look awesome on the car even if a little tucked.

Not long finished building the 7's. Did the 7.5's last night and fitted tyres to those this morning before i went to work.

Here's a pic of the 7.5's before tyres

They look bloody awesome in the flesh

I'am going to buy 2x 2in lips along with a new set of RS nuts then swap over again when ready.
