Looks really nice on the banded steels. Nice amount of poke with them. Dont suppose you know what the offsets work out to be on them?

Also a bit off topic on your car but how can the axle be shortened. Any info on this?

Unsure on et's bud. They are regular mk2 gti or driver steels though. Originally 6j wide so they've had a 3in band in the rears and a 2in in the fronts.

I did'nt look at the shortened axle but i guess its been chopped back an inch where the stubs bolt to it. If you chop in the middle, your ARB wont fit and it be weak IMO.

Well buying this can only lead to 1 thing  :D

Rare rocco 16v inlet so i can keep the fuel lines and metering head where they are and make it look factory ;)

Started the 16v conversion this morning :)

Here's a few pic's

Empty engine bay

9A 2L 16v from out my caddy

Fitted Poly steering rack bushes, Alloy taped the rack boot, fitted 16v servo and 22mm M/C then dropped the engine and box in

Should'nt be far off from getting it done tommorrow  8)

Planning on using the original Gti loom and just connecting up the ECU part of the 16v loom this time.

Day 2 update :)

Jetex stainless system fitted. Had to undo the bottom shock bolts so i could pull the axle down for the 2.5in exhaust to go over lol. Its tight!

Driveshafts back in
Lower stainless steel strutbrace fitted
256mm brakes on, just need a couple of pipes fabbing up, a rebleed then it'll be back on all fours.

Finished my day off by adding some of the ancillaries and re-routing a few things to look as tidy as possible.
