Any one got a Raleigh Burner for sale????????????????

Wish I'd seen that programme. I had a Raleigh Extra Burner. It was red and white. I always wanted a set of white Skyways on it but they never materialised (funny how 22 years later I'm still lusting after wheels I can't have).  :banghead:

Just found a picture of one. In my memory it was much better looking than that. I always had the white pads on it.    Oh and mine had nice Oakley Aero grips (I think they were)

I've always rued the day I sold it for ?60 in the paper.

My son has a Diamond Back now but it just isn't the same as the old ones.  :dontknow:

It must have been about 1987 when I sold it. Probably squandered it on cider or something.

Squandered and cider shouldn't be used in the same sentence.  :D

wow that brings back memories,my brother had a grifter, i so wanted a raliegh burner but i got a raliegh shopper instead:(

Was that the ones that you could fold in Half Lou? on the grounds it would fit in the boot of a car? never saw the point myself especially as my Sister had one. My Mum sent me shopping one day and on the way back it folded up on me, broken eggs, broken milk bottle etc etc. I was not happy.
It seemed some joker had undone the centre bolt whilst I was in the Co op and I had not noticed….. :banghead:  :banghead:

they have a pretty big following as the coolest colour combos were only in the 80's, they are making them again but they aint as cool!
