thought i'd start a project thread for my mk1 jettaso it all started was a peacefull sunday and remebered that bury dubs where having a meet/autojumble so collared a mate and we went over seeing as there was nothing better to do on a sunday, so pulling into the car park saw this little mk1 jetta on the back of a trailer fell in love with her. knowing that i wouldnt walk away without here after a bit of disscuion with the owner we came to a agreement on a price heres a few pics of her when i first saw her looking sorry for herself
the shoes she came with needed tlc tho
so finally got her back to mine last december and got to work
set about riping the engine ready to remove
front coilovers need a bit of a clean but might just invest in new ones
got one of the lips on the ally cats polished to see what they came up like
got bored one evening and decided to trawl the net see if i could find any info on her came up as the first picture on google images
then i got her taken down to my mates so i could use his pit and got the engine out
then she went of for bodywork and paint went and saw how things where coming along, they have been a bit slow as the bloke that has been doing it has had some family problems, managed to get a few snaps of her, she had two new rear arches put it all the bodywork sorted and the passenger door has been saved as it was really badly dented ill let the pics do the talking, I mainly uploads most of the photos on instagram my name is jake1404
got her back in primer so i could move the engine mount to fit a standard 1.3 engine in
she then went back of the paint for the final time hopefully
affter a week of him having it thought id pop round and see how he was getting on
things where coming along nicely but then he went a dropped the bombshell that he smashed the windscreen when removing so there goes all the orginal glass :( but he offered to buy me a new screen
so got to work putting here back together and this is ho she sits at the minute
thought id snap a picture of the project and daily together
thanks ajke
