pic heavy update 22/12/2011 !!

hi, all the mot bits pretty much sorted now so next week when it s retested it should get through and i will be able to use it after a year off the road.

did a bit of work today between customers cars i stripped the bumpers and arches and gave them a quick rub down adn a light dusting of a black plastic paint that gives a good standard look. i will update with a pic tomorrow of them finished.

 

quick update unfortunetaly no pics as i forgot the camera again!!!!

anyway the bumpers and arch mouldings are looking good with this plastic spray but are not back on the car as the whole car needed mopping up again so i am in the process of doing that 3/4s complete. then the mouldings can go back on and also my lower side decals are waiting to be applied.

i shall try remember the camera tomorrow so i acn update.

Bit of an update today and with the promised pics.
Today i have been busy, sorted out a few of the mot issues but they were just minor. New front arb bracket and washer jet for the front. Once i'd done these i set about the task of putting the freshly painted bumper's, arches and also the lower decals. The lower stripes on the sides have added something to the car now looks complete and very happy with the look. I'm very happy with the bumper's and arches after they were dusted with the proffesional plastic spray, they are very nice black but not to glossy more satin which is the best look not like some cheap plastic paints.

Then got round to giving the car it's first coat of polish after the last few days of mopping and it has a lovely shine.

One disaster today the last 1/4 litre of mars red some how had got spilt over my new boot liner !!! Looked like someone had been killed but after an hour got it all up and cleaned off the liner …..phew!!!!

There you go mot retest this week so when's the next show i nee to go get out and about.

If anyone is interested in the spray for the bumpers and arches i can get hold of the cans think they are 500ml and will do them a good few times.If anyone is interested please pm me i'll sort out a price.

non of the trim yet astraman as well i have a hole in the seat from some pesky rats and also its still not complete. did you notice your lovely brand new g60 mc and 16v servo all plumbed in ? cheers for those  

looks really really nice, i would love to see a pic of the seats, what r they out of, retrimmed in what, what subframes etc as i want to do recaros in mine soon

the seats i m not sure what they are out of, i was told they are from a mk1 scirroco but they do have cobra on the seat adjusters. the subframes are quite large i am going to remake them smaller and slightlly lower when i get some time at work.

rear seat was the old original frame then the matched rear seat to the fronts was fitted to that frame so it would fit. what i really want to do is get the centres trimmed in a period fabric think it would finish it off.

 

hi today should of had the mot retest but rob (mot tester) had a very busy day after a week off.it will be done tomorrow morning so by tomorrow afternoon it could be a stepo closer to the road.

It s passed its now just waiting for tax and i'm ready to have a drive after 14 months of work !!!!!!!!

one issue was it threw its water out after the fan did nt kick in due to connection coming off

l so want your  interior :mrgreen:

lol you still not done yours astraman that s not good crack on summers coming all the shows !!! i m gutted i cant afford to tax it really wanted to go the show this weekend
