MK1 G60 PROJECT ***coming back out to play**
thought it was about time to show my progress of my mk1 which ive been building for the last year and a half.. after selling my old corrado g60 and mk1 g60 im gutted and i cant wait to get this on the road.im planning to have it finished for the edition 38 show at the end of august..
i have loads of pics from start to how it is now,but il try to narrow them down abit..
here we go..
this is when i first brought her, she was in excellent condition
then started the stripping
i brought all brand new vag panels for her..,wings,tailgate and bonnet
then started widening the arches to make way for my wheels (wheels in pic are my winter wheels)
heres my badboys front 8x15 rears 9x15 with 195 tyres

and my 4+e mk2 rod change gearbox i will be running
after a bit of a clean up,paint,polishing and replacing the water pump,plugs,filter and many new parts it looks like this
fitted my konigsport coilovers
then prepping the body started
engine was removed and painted before body(bit dusty in pic)

then came the paint
back at my garage (still lots to do)
then dropped engine in
built it up a bit more

got my new intercooler setup,room is tight and this should just fit..it comes with all pipe work and hoses from the charger to inlet also a slimline fan
also supersprint group A exhaust system (middle pipe has now been returned for a boxed pipe as i dont want it to be loud
car is currently at the trimmers im having corrado interior,we have just fitted back seats which were a right pain …
im having a full butterscotch retrim including roof lining
also electric windows and mk4 polo dashboard
heres a pic of the front seats
and how she stands now
im replacing all the seals/rubbers with new items
its due out of the trimmers next week,so il get some pics then!!

the paint was done by border coachworks at thruxton (racetrack), there work is top quality, black is a hard colour to get right…

well I have to say its top job mate… I sure know about getting black paint right! will be keeping an eye out on this project. A nice set-up a mk1 G60.

How much was the paint job btw? and where can I find out more about the MK1 G60? I didnt know there was one! (mk1 n00b here).
EDIT: Ohh! it is brand new! you just cleaned it up, sorry my bad!

heres a couple of quick pics…
i think it looks cool without bumpers,but its a bit late for that as i would of had the holes plated over
i havent put the front door cards on, as i am missing the small metal rods that go from the door catch to the door pins…
