Mk.1 Cabby - 16V 9A ITB's 220+ aka. "The beast"

Got a nice package from Volkswarenhaus.de/Typ-17.de

But I still await my new beige carpet etc.

Note the GTI Spyker steering wheel, that i got last month - In mint condition

I also went out for the first time in the cabby in sunshine and approx. 15 degrees this weekend

Drove with a friend in his BMW E30 24V M-Tech 2

how bizarre, my missus had a Mk1 cab the same colour as yours, and I'm currently building a Mk1 Cab with 9A, BBS RS and whole load of other bits too…

great taste!

Sweet ride and engine spec, that's the way to do it.

The "Beast" is just looking great in the new pictures - Simply the finest Cabby in Denmark.
The scream from the engine must be pretty F%€#"=g amazing ;) Looking forward to the meets in Denmark this summer.

Best Regards

That's great taste you got there

The 9A is a great engine to work on, with loads of power.

Beats the ABF on the dimension of the valves/combustion chamber

Do you have a build thread on here?

Thank you for the comment  :D

I'm looking to upload a video of the engine roaring -
I can without a doubt say that this is one of the sickest sounding 4 cylinder engines I have ever heard

I said to a friend of mine when he first drove with me, that the noise level of the Beast is huge - He just looked at me with a blank face saying: "Dude .. that's not noise"  8)

Looking forward to the video upload, the noise from a highly pumped engine is like a orgasm for the ears ;)

Best Regards

Unless you use a 9A/KR Head on a ABF Bottom end like mine
