Interior looking superb mate :D

Did you get your carpets from Newtons ? If so is it good quality ?

What do you think about red carpet in a red sportline, or is that to much red ?? as I will get my carpets replaced sometime and wondered  whether to change from black to red  :dontknow:

someone else on here put a red carpet in thier spotline and i think it went well and really set it off, depends on whether you are trying to stick to original or not

Cheers for the comment mate.

Yeah the carpet was from newton commercial.

Its not as good as the factory fitted carpet but for the price you cant complain.

I would defo use them again for another carpet.

As for going for the red carpet i think that would look very nice.

As said tho it depends if you want to keep it as standard as possible.

Ceri.

The misses was working today so i decided to fit the new floor and sides for the boot that i made a while ago.

Got them all in place but i wasnt happy with how they looked.

These are the sides and floor i originally made, they looked ok out of the car but once fitted they didnt look right.

As you all know the original side panels dont cover all the metalwork and it looked a bit tatty / unfinished once fitted.

I managed to get some carpet from where i work (its a new store and the shop fitters left some carpet behind)

So i set to work making the new floor, sides and back of the boot.

This is an offcut of the carpet i used, its got a deep pile and foam backing to keep it more rigid.

After a few hours of cutting and fitting, followed by more cutting and fitting this was the outcome.

Right corner of boot.

Left corner of boot.

Im very happy with how it turned out.

It looks a lot neater than how it originally was.

Comments welcome.

Thanks mate.

To be honest i completly forgot about the light.

On my next day off (wednesday) im going to be cutting a little hole where the original light would have been and reconnecting it.

I got a set of these in grey last year. Top tip, before you try and fit them get them nice and warm with a hairdryer otherwise you'll struggle.

I did originally mate new side cards and floor from mdf and covered them in blue cloth but i personally didnt like the look once fitted.

If you look back through my thread you can see some pics of them.

First i made the floor and fitted in, then measured up the rear panel which i made a little bit bigger (by doing this i fitted it without glueing it in place. it fits nice and snug and doesnt move what so ever.)

I then made the sides which once again i made a bit bigger.

These are held in place by 2 cable ties where the original cards would have been held ( cable ties cant be seen due the deep pile on the carpet)

By carpeting the whole boot i was able to cover all the bits of metalwork that the original cards dont cover.

Heres a slightly better picture.
