got a wing and a tailgate today from a guy in stourbridge, he is breaking a mk1 gti,


also i  :roll:  FOUND  :roll: a heater switch for daz.

wont be ready for gti fest but im not bothered because i dont want him to rush it, BUT i defo want it for weston park.

you toooo quick daz, but he defo wont be able to do anything on the bm, well actually come to think of it he did help my brother move the bm 2day.    

I love old Beemers, my uncle used to have an old 3.0 iS (5-series predecessor?) and loved it! 8)

its ready for paint, and the brakes will be finished tomorrow, then its put back together time, oh yeah, i need a green tinted windscreen,

the painter/mechanic says i should be having it back next thursday/friday,

il get some pics tomorrow.

Speak to National windscreens and make sure they have a green tint in stock, ready for an impending broken windscreen  :mrgreen:

a little update on mine, its gonna get painted tomorrow morning, then hopefully put back together saturday, and IF the insurance company can fit the windscreen on saturday, the gti named rocky will be at weston park on sunday.

**its named rocky because no matter what happens to it it keeps coming back, in the last 18 months i have changed the clutch once, gearbox once and know the engine has been swapped.

**oh yeah the screen is free from the insurance (no excess) :wink:
