At wits end now

Ok guys few weeks ago 5th Inj wouldn't fire on crank turned out to be crud in the hose
Now car won't start. So  put 5th Inj into coke bottle crank nothing .! Ok let's check voltage at I Injector 12v 12v 12v 0v 0v
Any ideas why this would happen .??

Does it fire up eventually even without fifth injector? Is it possible you have another blockage stopping any fuel at all getting through? If there is no power getting to fifth injector, it could be the thermotime switch - i think it works by controlling the earth path for the fifth injector.

If you are getting spark, are you getting fuel to the injectors - have you tried the jam jar test on one of the normal injectors? The fifth injector is there to help start the car from cold, but it should still start without it, but it tales a lot more cranking.

I've unpluged my 5th injector as I've old leaking injectors and the my car still starts. The 5th injector only fires for a few seconds when its cold.

Well some intesting development guys
Thought I'd try jam jar test so bridged the relay then thought strange pumps not buzzing checked def 12v getting to it so removed it , full of crud .!!
But crud isn't metallic rust like your thinking its more like rubber .!so I think the brand new filler neck hose. Had perished inside :(

Could be you have the same problem as me - the short rubber hose between the lift pump and the fuel guage sender has disintegrated. You need to lift the rear seat, find the access plate held by 3 screws. Under that is a round plate with two rubber hoses and an electric plug. Disconnect all three, then turn the sender by about quarter turn anti-clockwise - you might need a hammer and chisel or similar to knock it sideways (you will see what I mean). Then carefully lift out the sender and lift pump - it is a tight fit, and see what the rubber hoses are like. This would be more likely than a disintegrating new filler pipe.

Hope this helps.

Sorry guys me t to say resolved
Was the little 90 degree  pipe I'd made up. It scraped inside and the rubber shavings blocked the pump inlet
