Decided rather than paying out for a complete new backbox I would use the stainless Miltek that was already there

So update on the cabby 😃

After looking for years as wanted them on my other Mk1's , I have finally found a set of 15inch! Fifteen 52's 😃😃😃

They need a refurb as have lacquer peel but there is no kerbing and insert paint etc is all good so they will be going in for re diamond cut and lacquering soon 👍

borednow , yeah chuffed with wheels , can't diamond cut them though as lathe won't fit in profile of wheels , so more than likely they will be mirror polished and inserts re painted black 👍

jamie8v after a test fit looks like I will get away with just some 5mm spacers from and back to clear coilovers and a brake pipe 

nice! what width and offset are they?

chrisL  all 4x100 Fifteen 52's that were shipped over for UK sale I believe are the same, 8J and ET30 whether they are the 15's or 16's

so few small updates on the cabby

Wheels are in for refurb

020 gearbox is coming out over winter and an 02J is going in, and I have an 02A spare also

New steering wheel purchased

Trying my hardest to save for some basic air, as never had it and would like to air it for next year

Thanks mate, really happy with the direction its heading, got some update pics on wheels as well   , will post them up now

** WHEEL UPDATE **

So after speaking to lots of different companies and people, it turns out re diamond cutting the wheels was not going to be an option as most companies thought their machine would not be able to get the diamond cutting tool deep enough into the dish of the rim

People also advised that then I would have to re lacquer so the diamond cut did not perish and go misty etc, which realistically might only last 12-24 months or if I get a chip in the lacquer start to blow and peel anyway

So ..

The wheels went to rimscarnated and have been completely mirror polished with loads of handwork involved. He is currently now re powdercoating the inserts, wheel centres and inside legs on spokes so they are as made originally by Fifteen 52, and going to seal them for me with some good product.

I just have to then keep on top of them, but I try to only drive it in the dry and its garaged, so fingers crossed I can keep on top of the mirror polishing

so happy how they look so far !!
