Reading this thread through with my cuppa' and biscuits beside me…

I'm amazed at the skills and talents of others, I'm completely jealous that you can do this and throw it together in your front yard??! This looks amazing, all the best with the build and I to, like many, look forward to seeing the finished product !

That's a fair bit of dosh but I've seen those eurowise kits and they do look very well made, justifies the cost!

Enjoy doing the wiring  :ninja:  Will all be worth it though!!

How did the suspension take the VR?  Was there a noticeable difference in height?

Nice!  You always here stories of how a VR is too heavy to go into the front of a mk1.  All looking good so far!

vss is easy if you have gti clocks, there should be a yellow/white wire in the back of the stereo, connect it to that

Wot do i connect to the clocks? The wires that that would go to the electronic speedo in the gearbox???

Post

I take it that would then trick the ecu ?!

Post

the vss doesnt take its signal from the gear box sender it takes it from the clocks

if you take the blue white wire coming from the ecu and connect it to the yellow white behind the stereo then will be the ecu happy

I don't seem to have a yellow & white wire! I have the dash out the car didn't have a stereo when I got it?!
