Mk1 R32 (update)

       

_‹So not added an up date for a while now be busy with other stuff!  But this morning a picked up a. Vr6 Hiline very cheap and I mean really cheap! So the Mk1 is going to get a VR lump for Xmas I've been looking at the eurowise conversion kit has anyone used this kit?? or is there anywhere in the uk that does a kit? Any help or info any one has would be great!

Anyone got any advice on the clutch side of the conversion? I will be using the VR gearbox!

Look at kit from just caddys don't really like the look of it and don't come with drive shafts! Will probley get the eurowise kit read goods things about it and it look the business

Yeah i will be living on bread & water for the rest of the month now!

Cheers mate. Just love the sound and the power delivery and can't afford a R32 lump!

Out of ..curiosity.. how much did the kit come to in the end? And does it come with the loom & driveshafts?

Engine out the Vr6 and ready for a clean

Good progress ... At this stage what preparation besides cleaning it up is needed before the install of this VR? , does it require a small rebuild??

I'm think of fitting the Vr6 servo & master cylinder on the mk1 but it only has 2 ports on the master cylinder and the gti 1 has 4 anyone know the best way round this? Would fitting these t-pieces be the way to go???

Just going to give it a quick clean and service for now as it's a very sweet engine! Going to remove the pas & aircon pump and fit a smaller belt.

Will just get the car on the road for now then i can tidy it up as i go along! will eventually mint & paint the engine etc.
