Lifting a 1.6 GTi (EG) engine assembly

The 1.6 EG engine only has one lifting lug as far as I know, on the head.
When removing the engine i just removed the sump and used straps under the block and gearbox - for re-installation I'd prefer a better mechanical solution, to make it easier to make finer adjustments during fitting.
Would appreciate any advice from those that have re-fitted this set-up

It could be that over the years that has been lost. You'll probably need to fabricate a similar thing and bolt it into the head at that point.
