What a difference!

Yeah but a shame the pics don't really do it justice.  :(
Should have used the Pro camera but there you go.

But for that money, you just can't complain!

Oh yes but I'm seriously thinking of letting them have another go first before I get stuck in, especially at that price.

One hour at VW here costs my 140 Euros per hour, so thinking work smart not hard!

Yes I'm really chuffed and when I have a day free later in the summer I'm going to let them have another go at it.
Money well spent I think because that nozzle on the machine can reach places where our hands just can't!

As for the BMW i8, I'd never seen one before but wow what a machine that is, that's a great looking car I must say!  :o

Just to un earth an older thread here sorry, I'm really interested in this dry ice detailing. Are there any companies that offer this service in the UK? I've had a quick google but nothing particularly obvious when it comes to cars?

@L4 NKV
Wow I'm surprised because it's not that expensive and really does work. I definitely went to the most expensive one which is in the center of Vienna but is only ten minutes from my work.

It's not that common here yet but the flip side it is illegal to wash your engine bay in a normal jet wash here!
You have to go to a specialist center where they are equipped to deal with the waste.

Do checkout the videos online, as it is seriously impressive.
Let me know how you get on.

I'll do some more digging and if I find anything going on here in the UK I'll update this thread. Not looking too hopeful at the moment though  :|

Strange because I can even rent a machine here and do it myself if I wanted to, there's two companies less that an hours drive that I could get one from!  O_o

I'll be going back in the spring when it's a lot warmer to let them have another go.
Also going to take my new Mk6 tsi variant there for a going over, it looks fairly good because it's only done 50,000 Km's but it should look fantastic when they've finished!

So this guy at http://www.miracledetail.co.uk/ is pretty serious about cleaning cars, based in Surrey. States he uses dry ice amoungst other things but looks like a re mortgage is due for you to get picked up in your helicopter while he does the job  ;)

Tried various local detailing companies websites, all sound good but nothing about dry ice.  I'm sure it isn't the end of the world but still be nice to know it was available somewhere close for a reasonable price. :)

I just had a quick look and there's a few companies in the uk that do it but more aimed at large scale industry.
I reckon that could be a nice little business doing commercial vehicles and cars, if I wasn't over 50 and over here I'd have a crack at that!

I used to do a lot of steam cleaning when I was young to earn some money to fund my hobbies.
By the time I was 15 I'd already done stuff like JCB's and even a full size school swimming pool but I was young! :ocf_emoticons__wheelchair:

Yeh thats exactly what I found, using it to clean off brick walls and such!  :offtopic:

As you say though if I was more entrepreneurial then there 's definitely a gap in the market to be capitalised on
