I will need to replace this rear cable soon as well as frayed and looks to be snapped. I fear at lot of rust underneath that rear lip holding the hood on as well…

Cabriolet roof locking catches help
Once these PVC go porous they actually hold the water against the body and the top frame itself.
Slowly rusting away under the top.
The rear cable and the rear cable channel.

Luckily its kept in a garage and avoid use during wet weather for the moment. Depending on the extent of rust on the rear lip can this normally be fixed with some welding? Also am I right in thinking you provide quotes for providing and installing new hoods/cables? On my list of things to refresh for the future…

Sometimes if we’re lucky it’s only surface.
But it needs dealing with before you put a new hood on.
We can fit you just a hood or complete renewal of the top section headliner upwards inc new rear window frame as these are mostly rotten.
Or if you want just a rear cable no problem.
