Adjustable top mounts

Post

Hi all
I'm looking at making my bbs rs's  wider and a combination of 4 pots and wide wheels don't leave much room

So I'm looking at some adjustable top mounts to help with some camber

I run fk silverline with the koni adjustable inserts coilovers

Can anyone recommend some top mounts

Can you get the raised top mounts that are adjustable ?

And I thought this was going to be a Hood related post? :)

You are looking for Struts mounts that are adjustable?
Most Struts mounts aren't adjustable for camber and you have to buy a separate Camber set up.

Don't think you can get raised topmounts with adjustment.

Still static to a camber and caster adjustable top mount for mk1's.

Not cheap at 300 odd quid tho.

Hi I’ve looked into adjustable raised mounts and it’s not really feasible, there’s not enough room inside the mount before the spring hits the side + it’s an arc so a little movement at the end of the arc adds up to not very much at the bottom but every little helps so I made these and just set the rubber mount as far in as it would go before fouling on anything just encase.

why do you want raised topmounts?
I recently bought TA-technix DEEP version, and it comes with camper adjustable top mounts, allthough you can buy versions that can do even more eg these

but these coilovers at least go so low you wont need higher topmounts.

You need raised top mounts so your suspension still has some travel. So when you wind your coil overs So low you haven’t completely compressed your damper to the point of rendering it useless. As you wind your coilys down the car but also the damper goes with it and so does any quality of ride

Sure sure but if your new dampers are half the size of the old ones then they’re not winded down they’re just as they were made but your car is damn low now. :) of course they can then only travel half of the original ones but you cant have everything at once. And using the higher mounts takes away your camper adjustability, but of course not everyone needs that as well
