Paint correction Mars red

Hi All,
After purchasing this faded red Mars GTI

I had intended a full respray, but thought I'd try a machine polish in the interim, here's the 50/50 progress:

The paint work is really thin with undercoat bleeding through before I even started!
After claying the car, I set about using the rotary with 3m fast cut.  Progress looking condiderably better:

Refined using 3m ultrafina, added some stripes:

Once the weather improves I'll apply a couple of costs of wax and dress the plastic work.

Next steps loose the towbar, drop it 30mm and a new exhaust.

Now a lot better after some investment….

Managed to get some swissvax best of show wax on today, and black wow on the trims.

Amazing transformation, was that machine polished after claying or just by hand?

Cheers, clayed then machined polished.  Been a bit neglected the last few months will need to sort before winter
