$350 84' MK1 Rabbit

Hi, I'm new here and don't know much about VW's at all. I have always had Volvo's and Honda's, but today a good buddy talked me into getting an old Rabbit. I really wanted a golf if I went VW but this was only 350 and all she said was the transmission had a problem. I need a gas cap and preferably some interior stuff but I would rather buy it from someone with a good knowledge of these cars.

why would you rather a Golf? do you mean a euro mk1 golf or later vw golf?
