A651 FEJ (On TV!)

It was a silver tin top racing a mk4 on a programme called "speed" hosted by Jermery Clarkson (probably been mentioned before) just wondering if anyone know who owned it!?

Just got back from a ride on my motorbike, went to Goodwood to get my old man a present from the shop there. Had a stroll up to the track, and saw A651FEJ leave the pits, shortly followed by a new Golf GTI.

The mk1 had what looked like a camera mounted on the back bumper, and the new one looked to have someone inside filming the driver.

I have seen the car numerous times on the TV, so knew of its provenance, and just had a look on google image search. I first remember seeing it in an old Top Gear with Clarkson, many years ago where it wore a bodykit and mk2 bbs wheels, but has since been restored back to campaign spec. It has been on car s.o.s and also again on a more recent Top Gear in this restored state.

I think this still belongs to the VW press fleet, been at our AGM. A few times.
