What part / kit do I need?
Read many fantastic posts on how to do the job - really helpful stuff and I'm knowing inside out now after all the reading and re-reading I'm doing! My problem is I'm going round in circles looking for the 'right' kit with seal, cover and spring clip/washer, some seals are 100mm, others 90mm I belive? Or some such…
Has anyone got a contact/link in their memory where this can be found?
Classic VW has one, but it says 'Early Gearbox without spring drive cups', which I don't understand (how do I know this?)
I have contacted them and await a response, however was wondering what you chaps may be able to add into the mix, in order for me to get the right bits and get them replaced.
The box is an AEN code - 1989 MK1 Clipper 1.8
As a side note, there's a bit of play and rattle when turning the shaft (although not when driving thankfully), does this mean my CV joints are on their way out or are they naturally a bit moveable - she's done a few miles of course…
If they are on their way out, I'll buy one kit a month (in/out both sides!) and replace them accordingly, by the time I get to the last one I might know what I'm actually doing!

I like your thinking.
I best get ordering some bits.
Any idea how to find out what CV kits I need? They're different sizes too!

VW Heritage are good at answering those types of questions.
