Sportline Cabrio brake upgrade

Post

I’ve had my Sportline for 10 years this year and in this time the brakes have always been rubbish, they stop but don’t inspire much confidence. Everything is in good order as I overhauled it completely when I bought it and it’s only covered just over 1000 miles in the ten years. I’m not looking for a BBK, just a recommendation for a decent disc & pad combo in standard size.

PFA. Dragged it out of the workshop yesterday and gave it a clean 👍  99922D9A-4CFA-4962-9A6E-DEE2C528B3BB.jpeg

Can’t really help with your question as my cabby brakes are dire also so I’ve just got standard Brembo gear and just live by my wits most of the time but love your wheels that don’t look like the standard size snowflake wheels so please can you advise what they are as they look a good size and polished they look great?
thanks

They're 1552 Snowflakes, 8x15  (or maybe 7 can't remember) they only made a limited amount of them about 10 years ago so very rare now.

Nice one, thanks for replying, I’ll try and find a set online. Hope somebody here can give you better advice on brakes.

On my 92, I had mushy brakes when I bought it.
After Replacing the M/C (Stock for the Cabriolet) with a New one, Replacing all the Rubber lines with SS jacketed
lines front and rear, the wheel cylinders and shoes new drums.  Followed by rebuilding the Calipers (honing the bores) new vented rotors, and using Ceramic (Hawk brand pads), and followed by power bleeding the entire system and replacing the fluid with full synthetic. I had a very firm pedal and better braking.  No real upgrades save for the Ceramic pads, and SS jacketed brake lines.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.
