Servo / master cylinder spacers

Post

Sorry guys, you are probably all getting sick of my braking related queries by now so hopefully this is the last one.

I've read a few posts about peoples brakes slowly binding until they lock on and require pressure being released via a bleed nipple on the caliper

I think I'm right in thinking this is due to the servo rod being too long for the master cylinder?

If this does happen, is it possible to cure this with a spacer between the 2 components

I've seen a few 1.5mm spacers on ebay and wondered if anyone has had any luck with them rather than fitting a different master cylinder

There is a o-ring between the booster and the MC to make sure it doesn't vacuum leak for a reason.

When ever you replace a MC you should always do a free play adjustment.

I thing what you are describing is more indicative of a internal brake line malfunction.  Where the Brake line(rubber) has deteriorated, and the internals are acting like choke points.

They all start with GOOD Grounds.
