New cv joint

Hi guys, help me please!!!! I have a mk1 golf with 20v t in and I'm struggling to fit a new inner cv joint it seems really really tight going on. Should I force it on or is it wrong I don't know. I'm running the 100mm cv joint. Please help.

Tight going on to the drive shaft? Having just removed a couple from my drive shafts, they shouldn't be a tight fit. A circlip keeps them on the driveshaft, but once I got that off they slid off pretty easily.
