What original parts do I need to fit

Hi all,

I've bought a set of KWV3's, to be fitted as soon as my car is back from the paintshop.

Installation instructions say that some of the original fittings are required to fit the KWs - can someone who has fitted them, or presumably V1s or V2s, confirm what is needed? photos, part numbers a bonus!

Btw: some say these are overkill for a road-use only mk1 golf, and they may be correct. I bought with this in mind, and I'm happy I did. The V3's ABSOLUTELY transformed my last project, a 964, and I got a decent price from Venom - so a no-brainer. I'm sure all KWs are good - but if you want any sort of noticeable adjustability the V3s, in my opinion, are worth the extra bucks.

I've got V1's on my Mk1, they are superb. I know what you mean about adjustability but I find the V1 is perfect for me as I'll never be messing with bump/rebound damping and am happy to let KW set that for me without adjustment.

From memory, the only bits you need are replacement top mounts and the washer and spacer tube. I bought new genuine strut mounting bolt and camber bolt assemblies.

Look forward to seeing the car coming back from paint and starting the rebuild.
