Light weight car sitting to high

Hello guys and girls I'm having trouble getting the rear of my mk1 golf to sit low it's really light as its stripped out and I'm after some suggestions on The best way to do it.

Is there suspension out there or a MOD to do. I have spax coilovers and they are wind right down but still sits high.

I stillest to achieve great handling as its going to be mainly a track car.

Any advice would be great cheers 😉.

There is not really much weight in the back even in standard form. some pictures of the rear might help determine how low you currently are. just remember that the geometry will determine at what height the handling will be at its best and this certainly isn't when the sub frame is scraping along the floor. vw would have design the geometry to be roughly around standard height.

if you want more weight over the back then as a track car youll want to distribute the weight better than standard. this is normally why youll see a fuel tank in the spare wheel well. being closer to the rear will put more weight over the rear axle another bulky item is the battery.
