Hi,

Sincerely , it's very easy , and everybody can do it.

The only point that can be difficult is adjusting the lever stem to the linkage system.

Quick simple fix to reduce play is just replace the bushes and linkage arms, clean up ball joints and re-grease.
Replace 1 arm at a time and make a mark on positions of splined rods etc when taking things apart, you can get away with leaving the gear stick if not much play as that requires re setting in position or you lose gears….

Haynes manual has info on measurements if needed.

Cabby-info.com has a how to that uses a cassette tape case to be the measuring guide to re-align the shifters.
But it isn't that hard.

Another guide.

Start at page 3 if you don't need to re-bush the gear stick.
