BBS RM alloy wheel refurbishment

Has anyone done a full refurb of a set of BBS RM alloy wheels?

My local wheel refurb company are sceptical of doing my set due to the amount of hours he said it will take, with the polished mirrored lips etc.
i have split down my spare wheel and it came apart easy. The whole wheel needs a good clean but most of the bolts have some sort of rust on them and the lip has dulled quite a bit. Im hoping the same for the other 4.

I have no worries removing all of the sealant and tapping the holes and probably have to send just the wheel centres to get stripped and powder coated.

Does anyone have any advice on getting the outside lip polished up myself. the bolts i know will probably need replacing even though most are really good.

I can't see them either and it's because those BAR STEWARD'S Photo bucket are holding it's members to ransom.
They want $300 per to host your photos.

They've altered the download link so although you see them when you log in to the site when you create a link you get garbage! 😱😕

They did this without warning ⚠ and it's effecting tens of thousands of people worldwide.

Can't use the four letter word but it rhymes with "Trucking Tankers"!

If I pay the ransom and I share a link 🔗 I can view them and download them. If I don't pay I can view them online but any links I use the only thing that appears is their stupid logo.

I wouldn't believe at all surprised to hear of a' Class A' action law suit on this one in the US, hopefully! 🤔☺️👍🏼

I have been paying them 4.99 a month for years.

The lowest end account type….

So I too got hit, but the message was different.
"Too much Band Width"…

The terms of the 4.99/mth was unlimited linking and increased bandwidth…about 4X's normal.  
So when they stopped mine, I got the original email (about 14 years old) and sent it back with the following type letter.  Sirs, just because you changed your terms of service, you are in default on your contract with me (whereas I enclosed a copy.) I now demand that you either return my account to previous, or… Refund all monies taken. (sure it is a small bit.) but about 2 hours later, I had my linkages restored.

They should of given a person a "GRACE" period, and not a on/off overnight.  

I suspect the reason is that the folks selling on ebay and amazon, were costing them bandwidth and storage on multiple accounts……..

Interesting Brian, I can only speak from the technical side of of that argument but bandwidth is relatively cheap now but storage space is extremely expensive.
Not including hot spares, warm spares and cold ones. (Servers)

But whatever, their approach to this is, it is criminal and they should be brought to justice to answer for their actions!
