Anyone got steps for removing the rear brake lines?

I'd like to remove the metal lines that run from the booster/master cylinder to the rear wheels.

Does anyone know of a guide online?

Or, is it just as simple as it looks with detaching them at either end and lowering them out?

Just take care, and use a lot of PB=Blaster on the fittings for the rear axles, and Brake Line Spanners for the Junctions…. Never replaced or removed off a Golf, but have replaced the rear Brake rubbers.  I have removed them off a mini-van and it wasn't easy as pie, but wasn't hard as a power steering rack replacement on the car.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Use the right tools to undo the joints, I found some crows feet spanners very handy when getting to the joint near the rear beam, I was able to get to undo the joint without dropping the rear beam as there is not a lot of room to fit in a spanner.

Check to size as link might not be right?

Not done the metal lines, I just changed the rubber hoses to braided type, well worth doing as lifetime warranty and a harder feel to brake pedal.
