Anti roll bar

Post

Hi all

I'm sure this has been asked many times and I've tried to do a search but can't seem to find the right info

I have a GTI and want to upgrade the ant roll bars and was wondering what people's recommendations are?

Eibach?
H&R?
Any others?

Anybody know where the best place to get them is?

Cheers
Taj

I have had Eibach fitted for about 20 yrs, very happy with them.

Meaning you have it dropped on coil overs I don't think you will get any benefit in fitting uprated anti roll bars as I expect there is very little body roll, standard anti roll bars will be fine for road use unless you are building a track day car I would use the money on some thing else.
If you do want to buy some I've heard good things about the Eibach ones.

Thanks for the advice fella.

I haven't dropped the car stupidly low because I can't stand to hear the tyres rub so there is a little roll sometimes.

Everyone seems to go for the eibach arbs so I just wanted to get some feedback from anyone who's used the other versions that are availabile

As far as I am aware, all tintop gti,s have front/rear antiroll bars from the factory.

Yes, they would of been fitted with a front and rear anti roll bar.

The standard rear sway bar is way too thin to be of much use nowadays. For a noticeable improvement go for one at least 22mm thick. A cheap alternative to the Eibach or Neuspeed is to find a front swaybar off a modern car that will fit inside the rear beam. Take all the mounts from the donor car as well and weld them to the rear beam for the new swaybar.

I've used front swaybars off a Mazda Capella and Mitsubishi Sigma but that was over 20 years ago so you'll need to find your own donor.
